Massage Treatments

Sports/ Deep Tissue Massage

Using firmer pressure, a sports massage reaches the deeper fibres of the muscles to target specific areas of tension. It can be used for everything from sports injuries to general tension. These treatments will help you perform at your best, leaving you feeling relaxed and invigorated. It is not all about ‘no pain, no gain’; we will work together to ensure that I am working within your pain threshold. Some levels of discomfort and ‘good pain’ can be expected. Deep Tissue massage generally uses slower techniques, meaning that the treatment can still be very relaxing whilst using firmer pressure.

Holistic Massage

A relaxing massage treatment designed to sooth away tension and anxiety, leaving you feeling calm and relaxed.

Aromatherapy

A relaxing, therapeutic massage treatment using natural, essential oils extracted from plants to enhance your psychological and physical wellbeing. This treatment will leave you feeling deeply relaxed. The oils each have their own healing properties and are absorbed into the skin and inhaled into the body to enhance the healing process. Following a consultation, I will mix up a blend of oils to suit your needs. I do not use pre-blended oils.

Pregnancy Massage

This is a time of enormous change for a woman both physically and emotionally. Carrying a baby can alter your posture and put strain on muscles, ligaments and joints. Massage techniques are adapted to reduce tension and discomfort, decrease stress and promote relaxation, supporting your body through this most special and sometimes difficult time. It is a nurturing treatment, allowing you some quiet time to relax and re-connect with your baby. Massage is not recommended in pregnancy until after the 12th week.

Indian Head Massage

Originating as a family tradition in India thousands of years ago, based on the Ancient healing techniques of Ayurvedic medicine, Indian Head Massage has been developed to deeply relax, revitalise and invigorate. Although concentrating on the head, face, upper back, neck and shoulders, the de-stressing and balancing effects are felt throughout the body. It can be particularly effective in reducing tension headaches, improving sleep patterns, concentration levels, sinus problems and is a very useful form of stress management.
